Job Responsibilities

Purpose of Position:
This role is responsible to manage national and international contract management, particularly focus on Asia region. This role encompasses drafting, negotiating, and managing legal documents while providing comprehensive legal advice across departments and also ensuring alignment of legal practices with our operations in Germany, China and Thailand.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain of national and international customer and supplier contracts in collaboration with functional departments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal standards 
  • Liaise with external overseas/ China legal firms on other legal matters to ensure adherence to local legal requirements and best practices.
  • Responsible for handling general insurance renewal & policy administration matter, ensuring all legal aspects are addressed
  • Monitor and document contractual timelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements 
  • Create, adapt, and manage model agreements and contracts; ensure they meet organizational and legal standards.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop alternative solutions to mitigate them 
  • Develop document templates, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

A.      Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive, thoroughly, responsible working ethic
  • Excellent self-organization and communication skills, must handle sensitive information discretely
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua, in both traditional and simplified Chinese characters)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point, and Chinese word processing
 

B.      Education & Work Experience:

  • University degree in law or legal studies (especially civil and commercial law)
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal executive in a law firm or in-house legal team, particularly in commercial law. Experience in contract management will be an advantage.
  • Profound knowledge of Chinese/HK law and international contract law
