Logistics Team Leader

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise all day-to-day Logistics operations in assigned team.
  • Analyse and solve logistics and delivery problems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for shipping cost calculation, comparison and negotiation with full understanding of International Incoterm.
  • Coordinate shipment with internal departments and external parties locally and globally with applicable processes.
  • Prepare shipping documents accurately and ensure correct postings in company ERP system.
  •  Lead and/or participate in local, cross-location/ global Logistics- and cross-department projects of various scale.
  • Facilitate communication, alignment and process optimization across departments and locations.
  • Develop and provide Logistics-related trainings to existing and new colleagues in order to transfer and optimize Logistics know-how.
  • Support other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Competencies & Skills:
  • Profound knowledge of all logistics process and procedures in a global supply chain structure.
  • Able to effectively lead the assigned team, give timely and actionable feedback to direct reports and mentor, coach and motivate individuals.
  • Able to effectively work with local and overseas colleagues, customers and factories.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively work with people at all levels in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
  • Able to work effectively under time pressure and deadline driven within a fast-paced, dynamic and customer oriented environment.
  • Superior in organization and priority setting, accurate and efficient with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and manage complex situations.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team with pro-active, self-motivated and responsible manner.
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English and local language.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications, as well as company’s ERP system and logistic programs. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Regular travel to the Shenzhen office and regional factories/offices is required.

Education & Work Experience:
  • Diploma or higher education in logistics/ supply chain or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5 years Logistics & shipping experience for internation customers (B2B).
